Just east of downtown Atlanta, Georgia, stood one of the most moving and iconic memorials ever made to the fallen Confederate solider. Known as the "Lion of Atlanta" or "Lion of the Confederacy", the 15 ton marble statue was place there in particular to remember the more than 3,000 unknown Confederate dead who fell during the siege and burning of Atlanta in Sherman's infamous March to the Sea in 1864.
It is an absolutely stunning sculpture, modeled after the "Lion of Lucerne" in Lucerne, Switzerland, and stood guarding the graves of our boys in the Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta from it's unveiling in 1894 until it's cowardly removal in 2021.
This 1.5" wide enamel pin is our first CSA memorial piece, and we are proud to bring it to life as a small token of the great sacrifice these men paid in defense of our homes, our people, and our hope in the Cause.
